We are leaders. We stand 12,000 strong. With 350 projects in over 45 developing countries, Engineers Without Borders USA has changed the lives of millions of people around the world.
Our VISION is a world in which the communities we serve have the capacity to sustainably meet their basic human needs, and that our members have enriched global perspectives through the innovative professional educational opportunities that the EWB-USA program provides.
For the past three years EWB at UCI has been working to complete a water distribution pipeline for the Maventiebo community. Currently, the women in the community walk a quarter mile to fetch water for drinking, washing and cooking. This pipeline, which we hope to implement in 2018 will not only bring fresh water to the community but also be servicing the MADA clinic located in the region.
We're currently partnering with EWB-LA to design sustainable picnic areas in Angeles National Forest. This includes designing pathways and rain/sun shelters for perfect picnic-ing.
